Elementary PTO Spring Carnival this Saturday

Kindergarten Round-up for El Dorado R2 students

Who: All children in the El Dorado Springs R2 School District who will be five years of age on or before July 31, 2023. What: Registration for the 2023-24 kindergarten class. Crash kills one, sends one to hospital

A late-night crash on March 31, 2023, resulted in a fatality. The wreck occurred when an eastbound 2010 Nissan Altima driven by Gordon Buttorff, 58, of Walker crossed the centerline on 54 Hwy. 1.5 miles east of Nevada and struck a westbound 2019 Jeep Renegade driven by Samuel O. Spring, 21, of El Dorado Springs.

St. Clair County Sheriff employee arrested for stealing

An employee with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office faces charges for the disappearance of bond money. The employee, Audra Beachner, was arrested, booked and released, which is a court rule for subjects not posing a threat to citizens or a flight risk, on Felony Stealing charges.
