R-II Superintendent Heath Oates has resigned effective as the end of the school year. Oates said he had taken a job at Midway-R1 School District in Cass County. He stated that his children are in that area as well as other relatives and friends.
Southwest District – Heavy rain and flooding have hit Southwest Missouri overnight, with the National Weather Service in Springfield reporting 2-5 inches of rain across the region.
