Pedestrian struck on Hwy. 54

On September 17, officers  responded to the intersection of US 54 Hwy. and S. Park St. concerning a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. According to witnesses on the scene, this accident apparently occurred when the pedestrian entered the crosswalk against the crosswalk control signal and was struck by an eastbound vehicle.

Man found deceased inside home

On Sept. 17, officers responded to 215 West Hightower concerning a check the well being.  Upon arrival officers located Johnnie D. Billings, 56, of El Dorado Springs, deceased inside the home. The investigation revealed the theft of a black 2006 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle. Investigators of the Missouri State Highway Patrol are assisting in the investigation.

Hospital lifts limitation on inpatient admissions

Last Tuesday, Cedar County Memorial Hospital CEO Jana Witt   told the Sun that limitation had been lifted.
