The Mo-Kan Square Dancers are re-opening their dances.  The next dance will be held on Friday, April 2, from 7:30 to 10 p.m.  with Jay Wright calling.  This will be held in the Home Ec Building/Dining Hall at the Vernon County Fairgrounds, Nevada.  Admission is $5 per dancer. Due to virus incident rates at zero in the El Dorado Springs R-2 School District and Cedar County, the mask mandate for all students PreK-12 in the El Dorado Springs School District is suspended, beginning on Wednesday March 24. Masks are still required for all those on school buses, due to a federal mandate.

All former employees of Nelly Don, Junior House and J.H. Collectables are invited to a Dutch treat breakfast at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the 54 Cafe in Nevada.

El Dorado Christian High School students and their dates will be at the Park in downtown El Dorado Springs for pictures, prior to their Spring Formal at Camp Galilee. The Promenade is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday evening April 8. The students will leave the Park at 5:10.

There will be a meeting concerning the Coal Hill Cemetery at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 11th. All who are interested in the cemetery are encouraged to attend. The annual meeting for Pleasant Springs Cemetery Association will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in the Pleasant Springs Missionary Church, Oyer. All interested persons are welcome to attend. Concord Missionary Baptist Church will begin revival services Sunday night, April 4. Citizens Memorial Hospital will host its annual free Baby Fair for expectant mothers virtually April 1-24. “Since we still have safety precautions in place at the hospital and The Birth Place, we are inviting expectant mothers to participate in our annual Baby Fair online this year,” says Wren Hall, director of community relations at CMH.
