On Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, Doug Scholes, 46, loving father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Gene Scholes. He was survived by the mother of his children, Jeannie Scholes; Three children, Brittany Kay Herman, and husband, Daniel, of Belton, Joshua Scholes of Joplin and Dallas Scholes.

Kenneth (Kenny) John Skakal or “Pa Skakal,” 72, as most knew him, passed away on Nov. 30, 2020, at the age of 72 in El Dorado Springs. Due to complications from a fall, Kenny was hospitalized in Joplin. This fall accelerated the progression of his battle with cancer and Kenny’s wishes were to go home.
