3M GIVES $1,000 TO ELDO FFA – El Dorado Springs FFA Chapter thanks alumni member Richard VanBummel (left) for his outstanding actions to support our organization. Richard works at 3M located in Nevada. As an employee he filled out an application for the 3M Gives Foundation. This program donates to organizations and clubs that the local 3M employees volunteer their time with. Being an alumni member, Richard generously put our FFA chapter down on the application. We were honored with the donation of $1,000. El Dorado Springs FFA Officer Levi Smith received the donation. This money will be used to improve classroom experiences for our students, as well as extending the reach for leadership opportunities for our members. Like anything else money is required to send our members to leadership camps and conferences. At events hosted by the chapter we offer food, snacks, and drinks. When community members invest in our organization the means are provided for our members to have these opportunities. We are dedicated to growing leaders in our school, in addition to strengthening career skills within our individuals. 3M Gives has given El Dorado Springs more than just a monetary donation. They have invested into our chapter and our members lives. We hope our students look at the actions of Richard VanBummel and strive to be committed to helping others just as he has done.
