ADULT RECOVERY COURT GRADS  – On Monday evening, Sept. 9, 2019, the Cedar County Adult Recovery Court held its graduation with two new graduates getting certificates attesting they had completed the arduous and strict recovery program from drug and alcohol dependency. James Willmore and James Rogers (right) completed the program attesting they have been clean and sober for over a year. Both are from El Dorado Springs. The Honorable James R. Bickel, Recovery Court judge, (center) gave the graduation address reading from letters sent to the Recovery Court from the graduates. A number of friends and family of both graduates almost filled the El Dorado Springs Community Room and some of them addressed the graduates after the ceremony that concluded with each graduate receiving a document signed by Prosecuting Attorney Ty Gaither dismissing all charges against them “with prejudice” meaning the charges can never be refiled. Both graduates look forward to starting their new lives with the support from their families.  Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff and Police Chief are part of the Cedar County Adult Recovery Court Committee which oversees the program.
