Guests at Cedar County Memorial Hospital’s (CCMH’s) Ninth Annual Fundraiser enjoyed activities centered around the theme Welcome to the Wild West. The event was held to raise funds for Cedar County Memorial Hospital’s capital equipment needs.

The evening began at 5:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Family Life Center on Oct. 26. As guests arrived, they were greeted by Board President Judy Renn, and long-time employee, Terri Heitz, Director of Social Services. Guests had an opportunity to bid on the silent auction items that were graciously donated by employees and local businesses, enjoy a root beer float from the root beer bar or purchase tickets for the 50/50 raffle.

During the delicious meal of brisket, baked potato, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread muffins and fresh apple pie prepared by the hospitals Dietary Department, guests enjoyed a variety of country western songs from Cedar County Memorial Hospital’s own Ginelle Esry, Occupational Therapy Assistant. When the meal was complete, a Best Dressed contest was held with Cliff Connor winning Best Dressed Cowpoke and Dawson Rogers winning Best Dressed Little Cowpoke. Following closure of the silent auction, the evening ended with the announcement of the 50/50 winner, Michelle Heitz.
