CMH names chief medical information officer

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) announces the appointment of Louis B. Harris, M.D., as chief medical information officer (CMIO).

Dr. Harris is a board certified family medicine physician and has practiced at Bolivar Family Care Center for nearly 30 years. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa, and completed a residency and an internship in family practice and general medicine from the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa.

Dr. Harris is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Meditech Advisory Committee.

In addition to serving as the CMIO part-time, Dr. Harris will continue his medical practice part-time at Bolivar Family Care Center. As CMIO, Dr. Harris will assist with implementation of the Meditech 6.1.6 upgrade. This upgrade of Meditech, the electronic medical records system for CMH, will help providers and employees continue to provide safe, streamlined, and evidence-based care for CMH patients and residents.
