Community Springs wins in Golden Age Games

Residents of Community Springs Healthcare Facility (CSHCF) participated in the 22nd annual Golden Age Games in Bolivar on Friday, Oct. 13, in the Meyer Wellness Center on the campus of Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar.

The Golden Age Games gives seniors living in long-term care facilities had a chance to participate in fun activities and socialize with other seniors from southwest Missouri facilities. The contests included hog calling, cow milking, horseshoes, basketball toss, soccer kick, quiz bowl and wheelchair races. There was also a craft contest in categories such as embroidery, yarn, woodworking,and an overall facility project.

CSHCF residents won two awards including first place in bingo and third place in cow milking.
