The El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce Spring City Spooktacular on Halloween, Oct. 31, was a spectacular event offering a safe trick- or -treating space for 350 – 400 pint-sized ghosts, ghouls and goblins and their parents.  Over 20 businesses and organizations handed out candy, and other goodies, treat bags, lighted zipper pulls, cider and popcorn.

A luminary trail from the Spring Basin lighted the way to the National Honor Society Haunted House in the upstairs of the old Community Building.

El Dorado Springs Optimist Member James Brackenridge said, “I’ve attended every Spooktacular since the first year. This is by far the biggest and best.”

Chamber Director Jackson Tough said, “It was just fantastic to see so many community members taking part in the kid-friendly community event.”

The winner of the Spring City Spooktacular Best Business or Organization booth was Mid-Missouri Bank. The winner of the pumpkin carving contest was Emma White.
