Youth Fair royalty

NOW THE WORK BEGINS – The Land O Lakes Youth Fair crowned its royalty Tuesday, evening, July 11. Then the three winners had the responsibility of assisting with the awarding of trophies during the Fair. Lauren Ford, escorted by her father, Brian (Victoria), was crowned the 2017 Youth Fair Queen. Rhielyn Nichols, daughter of Brian and Zara Nichols, escorted by Parker Norman, son of Danea Norman, was named the Junior Princess. Crowned Princess was Macy Stauffer, daughter of Matt and Rachel Stauffer, escorted by Reese Schiereck, son of Jarrod and Amanda Schiereck. Each girl received flowers donated by All Occasions Florist and Gifts. The crowns were sponsored by the El Dorado Springs FFA Chapter. Zboutique Brian and Zara Nichols was also a sponsor.

GRAND CHAMPION STEER – St, Clair County Bank purchased Krayson Leonard’s animal for a  $750 premium.

RESERVE CHAMPION STEER – shown by Jaydn Lower went for $500 from St. Clair County Bank.

GRAND CHAMPION HEIFER –  shown by Avery Schiereck was purchased by Cedar County Cattlemen for $750 premium only.

RESERVE CHAMPION HEIFER – Peyton Newman’s animal drew the top bid of the night, $1,000 from Charlie Prough and Dannie Newman.

GRAND CHAMPION HOG – shown by Cameron Parrish was purchased by Legacy Farm & Lawn for a $500 in the premium only auction.

RESERVE CHAMPION HOG – shown by Angela Anderson was purchased by Murphy Family Ventures for $500.

GRAND CHAMPION GOAT – shown by Macy Stauffer was purchased in the premium auction by Mid Missouri Bank for $500.

RESERVE CHAMPION GOAT – was shown by Marshall Stauffer and purchased by Murphy Family Ventures for a $525 premium.

GRAND CHAMPION RABBITS – Community Bank hopped on the bidding for Libby Toliver’s animals for $375.

RESERVE CHAMPION RABBITS – Rebekah Long’s well behaved basket of bunnies went to El Dorado Vet Clinic for $200.

GRAND CHAMPION LAMB – shown by Glen VanBummel was purchased for a $500 premium by Community Bank.

RESERVE CHAMPION LAMB – shown by Glen VanBummel was in the ring for pictures only because of the limit on selling only one animal.

GRAND CHAMPION CHICKENS – shown by Cheston Stacy were purchased premium only for $150 by Mid Missouri Bank.

RESERVE CHAMPION CHICKENS – Nance Auction Service bid $125 for Rebekah Long’s pen of chickens.
