NEW CHAMBER BOARD MEMBER

NEW CHAMBER BOARD MEMBER – The El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce welcomes new board member Heather Brown.

Chamber President Toshua McCormick said about the newest board member, “Heather has an incredibly positive outlook on life. Heather and husband Dallas own Abilene Enterprises property management. She loves real estate and has several rental properties in and around El Dorado Springs, Walker and Nevada. Their properties include apartments, duplexes and single family dwellings. Heather has been a member of the El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce for the past four years and we are thrilled to harness her passion and enthusiasm.”

Some of the chamber activities Heather enjoys most are the luncheons, interaction between business members and the networking for all involved. Heather also serves on several boards and committees including the Bright Futures board, as an Ambassador for the Chamber and holds the position of Vice-Regent for the local DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) chapter. She joined the Chamber to get more involved in the community and network with other business leaders. As Heather told us, “It has been more productive for business connections than I even expected. Networking with other individuals has been personally rewarding. I look forward to many more opportunities in the future and to be an asset to the El Dorado Springs chamber and community.”

In her spare time (which there’s not much) Heather enjoys playing volleyball, cooking and watching movies. Heather proceeds in her life with integrity and character in business dealings. Finding ways to serve others, gives her great pleasure. She’s a certified teacher by trade, and finds great joy in children and learning. Since she can’t teach full time she signed up to read to students during the school year to stay involved.

On her business, Heather says “Providing a service, like housing, is a blessing to me and those I serve.” Her greatest professional achievement is growing a business and making a difference in her community. Heather has eight beautiful children and is married to the love of her life.
