A Sheldon resident has been taken into custody by a multi-jurisdictional team after being placed on Vernon County’s Most Wanted list. According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, 35-year-old Carl A Bogart was taken into custody

early Friday morning after a search warrant was served at a home on South 1525 Road in Vernon County. Mosher said members of the Vernon County Special Response Team, Nevada Police Department, and the Bates County Sheriff’s Office conducted the raid just before sunrise.

“Mr. Bogart was able to get underneath the trailer and hide when we called for him to come outside, but was found a short time later and taken into custody” said Mosher.

Bogart was wanted on multiple felony warrants that were issued after he failed to appear for his court hearing in December. Bogart is currently being held in the Vernon County Jail with no bond.
