Stolen cash recovered

On April 4, Cedar County Sheriff McCrary responded to The Shack Restaurant in Stockton to take a report of a theft of cash. It was reported that a grocery delivery driver had possibly taken the cash. Cedar County Deputy Josh Coots located and detained the delivery driver west of Stockton. Deputy Ruth Belcher and Lt. Kevin Lowe also responded to assist.

Investigation and questioning of the suspect by Lt. Lowe led to the recovery of the stolen cash. The delivery driver, Austin Bussard, of Marshfield was charged with stealing. The stolen cash was returned to the owner.

The sheriff would like to thank the deputies involved for a job well done.
