TOPS Chapter 319 El Dorado Springs (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) met in the Church of Christ Meeting Room on Thursday, July 13.

Leader Robbie Chase opened the meeting and Kay S. led us in singing “I Want To Be At That Meeting.”

We welcomed a brand new KOPS today. LJ reached her goal. We said our TOPS and KOPS pledges.

Robbie led us in Roll Call.

Melissa was the weeks biggest looser with a loss of 5.4 lbs. Congratulations Melissa.

Thirty members weighed in today and the chapter had a net loss of 38.4 Lbs.

Only three of our TOPS had a gain. We sang Happy Birthday to LJ.

Robbie read a letter from Barbara Severs reminding us the KOPS Society will meet on Aug. 5 in Springfield at 8:30 a.m. in the Golden Corral. They will elect officers. Anyone who is a KOPS or within 10 pounds of being a KOPS is encouraged to come to this.

Marble Game: Marie won the right to draw for a marble but did not get the white one.

Contest Report: Warren is getting a new contest ready. It will involve car racing and hot wheels. Sounds like fun. More details will follow.

OLD BUSINESS: Robbie reminded us dues are due.

Remember the St Jude’s walk/run for a reason Saturday. July 22. You can still sign up at Shelter Ins. or Evans Drug. We will meet at the corner of Jackson and Spring at 7 a.m. Several of our members are planning to walk. Wear your red TOPS shirts. Even if you can’t walk, join us for a photo.

With no other business we closed with our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME”

We welcome anyone who is interested in learning about a healthy lifestyle. We welcome women and men of all ages. We encourage healthy eating and offer support through our chapter and the National Chapter of TOPS. We have a lot of fun in our weight loss journey and make lifelong friendships. First visit is free with no obligation. Membership and dues are very inexpensive.
