Sheryl turned the meeting over to Marilyn who had the program today.

Marilyn spoke on the dangers of leading a sedentary life style. There have been lots of studies on the effects of a sedentary life style. We are all sitting too much using our electronic devices and watching TV. Being sedentary is the 3rd leading cause of premature death right up there with heart disease and cancer. Studies show sitting too much can cause heart disease and cancer as well. Make it a point to get up out of your chair and walk around even if it is only for a few minutes. Our bodies are made to walk and stand.

Thank you, Marilyn, for bringing this to our attention. We all need to move more.
