TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in the United Methodist Church, 201 E Broadway on Thursday, March 28 for their weekly weigh-in, and meeting.

Leader Sheryl Ann called our meeting to order and Kay led us in singing “Easter Song.” We said our TOPS & KOPS pledges.

Sheryl led us in roll call and walking report. Twenty-Seven weighed in today and the chapter had a net loss of 7 lbs. Melissa was the best loser of the week with a loss of 6.2 lbs. Congratulations Melissa.

Jean passed our SRD information. SRD will be held at the Oasis Convention Center in Springfield on May 10 and 11. Chapter members will be staying Friday night May 10 at the Oasis. SRD T-Shirts and pinette may be ordered. Registration must be sent in by April 11th.

Some of us remember former member Esther Brown, and daughter Nancy Tabor. Esther’s husband and Nancy’s father John Brown will celebrate his 100th birthday on Thursday April 4, 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Ft. Scott Medical Lodge 915 Horton St Ft. Scott, KS, 66701.

We sang Happy Birthday to Judy K and to Carolyn J. It is also Judy D’s and Judy B’s birthday this week. Linda and Ike C will be celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary this week. Juanita is celebrating her 2-year KOPS.

Contest report: Jean’s team won this week. However, Linda’s team and Carol’s team are separated by only one point.

Marble game: LoEtta won the chance to draw but did not get the winning marble. The pot is at $60.

Linda H reported on the results of the potato bake. She thanked all members who helped make it a success. Linda presented bills in the amount of $252.86, Robbie made motion we pay these, Sue C 2nd and motion passed.

Marie thanked all members who helped her fill the orders she received and Steve and Juanita for delivering them

The floor was then turned over to our Area Captain, Claudia Gaylord. Claudia presented a program on “Seeds of Change”. She said we reap what we sow. If we have good “Soil” or chapter we will reap a good harvest (weight loss). We need to weed out pesky habits and sow good habits. We must Turnip for meetings, Pepper meetings with encouragement, squash unhealthy habits, Peas stick with it, Lettice help you and We’re rooting for you.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME.”
