TOPS MO #9319 El Dorado Springs morning group Thursday, June 21

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in the United Methodist Church, 201 E Broadway on Thursday, June 21,  for their weekly weigh-in and meeting.

Leader Sheryl Ann Walker called the meeting to order. Kay led us in singing “I Want to be at that meeting.”

Twenty-Four weighed in today and we had a 2.2 net gain. Traci lost 4.2 lbs. but had to leave before roll call. Mary lost 2.2 and was awarded the weeks best loser.

Marilyn led us in a series of exercises. Thank you, Marilyn, even though everyone complains we all feel better afterward.

Warren reported on the contest: For the KOPS Marilyn, Juanita and Jean are tied, for the TOPS, Judy B is in 1st place second place has Warren, Juda and LoEtta all tied.

Marble Game:  Steve won the right to draw for a marble but did not get the winning one.

Sheryl said we are running late on planning the Potato Bake in September. We need to think about not doing it in September this time as there are several people who will not be here in September. If we do it in March we need to go ahead and reserve the building and we need to set up committees so all the work and responsibility does not fall on just a couple of people.

Sheryl asked for ideas on other fund-raising options. Judy K said she enjoyed it when we had a garage sale.

Sheryl asked members to think about this and if anyone has any ideas to bring them to her.

Reminders: We will go over by laws next week.

The floor was then turned over to Marie who presented the “Colors Of TOPS.” She was assisted by, Linda H, Steve, Judy K, Margie and Juanita. Our chapter has such a talented group of people we have been asked to perform a couple of skits at Fall Rally. This skit was taken from a TOPS program from 2004.

Marilyn reminded us July 19, we will have to park on a side street as Broadway will be shut down for the Picnic, we may not be able to use the meeting area and will hold our meeting in the sanctuary. Therefore, no coffee, so the coffee drinkers will have to have their coffee before coming to the meeting and or after the meeting.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME.”

TOPS #MO 9319 meets each Thursday morning in the Methodist Church, 201 E Broadway, El Dorado Springs. Weigh in starts at 7:45 a.m. the meeting begins at 8:45 a.m. and is over by 10 a.m.
