TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in the Church of Christ Meeting Room on Thursday, Feb. 15.

Leader Sheryl Ann Walker called the meeting to order and Kay led us in singing “You Are My Sunshine”.

23 weighed in today.  Pat was the best loser of the week with a loss of 2.4 lbs.  We sang Happy Birthday to Marie.

Susan has the  Potato Bake fliers, to go order forms and tickets printed and available for members to take.  On the to go orders, do not take more forms than you think you will need.  Remember, ALL to go orders must be turned into Sheryl no later than Tuesday evening, March 13.  Forms are a little different format this year, they include a place for a phone number of the business or person you are taking order for.  We will offer pies, cobblers and brownies again this time.  We need for some of these to be low sugar, low fat desserts.  Susan suggested we search our recipes for some healthier recipes. Potatoes will be at the meeting on March 8 for members to pick up.

Marble game:  Sue C won the right to draw for the marble but did not get the winning one.

Sheryl reminded us to continue to bring soup through the month of February.

Our program today was given by representatives of The Christian Motor Cycle Association, Don and Mary Martin.

Don and Mary have started a soup kitchen in El Dorado Springs, feeding the homeless and anyone else who needs a meal.  They are currently serving Friday nights in the Park from 4 to 8 p.m.  They need some community help to continue this.  They are selling T-shirts with their logo on it for $12.  They are taking donations of money, or cans of food, shampoo, soap, toilet paper and other things the food pantry does not have to offer.  They would like to start being able to hand out bags of items, such as personal items, tooth paste, tooth brush, soap, paper products and so on.  They are serving several younger members of the community and need the communities help to continue.   If you would like to buy a T-shirt and/or make a donation call 471/296-5014.  If you are making a donation by check make it out to IC4C.

With no other business we closed with our song “The More We Get Together” and our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME.”
