TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs(Take Off Pounds Sensibly)met in the United Methodist Church, 201 E Broadway on Thursday, Sept. 5,  their weekly weigh-in, and meeting. 

Leader Susan is on vacation, Co Leader, Linda H is with her son, Jon in the hospital, Secretary, Jean L opened the meeting with the TOPS and KOPS Pledge.

Kay led us in singing “Our TOPS”.

Twenty-two weighed in today, we had a loss of 13 lbs. and a gain of 16.4 resulting in a net gain of 3.4 lbs. Best loser for the week was Laura with a loss of 4.0 lbs.

Other good losses were; Sandi 3.2, Robbie 2.4, Kay 1.4 and Linda C 1.00.

Melissa reported on the contest.  She said the team who won may not necessarily be the one with the most beads, to win the team must have the highest percentage points of weight loss.  The winning team was Laura’s team Kay and Margie.  Congratulations to this team and to all those who joined in the summer contest. We are looking forward to Fall Rally.

Marble Game: Linda C won the right to draw a marble and got the yellow one. She got a nice prize but not the money. The pot was at $97 this week.

Sheryl Ann said we now have $8,254.32 in Woods receipts.

We received a letter from Claudia, our Area Captain. Claudia is encouraging everyone to attend Fall Rally and if anyone wants to do a skit to let her know.

The floor was turned over to Marilyn to present the awards for August.

The chapter had a net loss of 10.2 lbs. for the month of August.

Winner of free dues was Sheryl Ann.

Best loser for the month of August was Laura with a loss of 11.2 lbs. She won $5.90.

Linda C received a certificate and charm for her 30 lb. loss

Robbie received a certificate for her 45 lb. loss

Laura received certificate for her 35 lb. loss and certificate and charm for her 40 lb. loss.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME.”

TOPS #MO 9319 meets each Thursday Morning in the Methodist Church at 201 E Broadway, El Dorado Springs. Weigh-in starts at 7:45 a.m. the meeting begins at 8:45 a.m. and is over by 10 a.m.
