TOPS Chapter 319 El Dorado Springs (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) met in the Church of Christ Sanctuary on Thursday, June 22.

Susan had the program today. She spoke on celebrations, we celebrate many things this time of the year, 4th of July, the local Picnic, family and class reunions. But when was the last time you celebrated yourself? You must remember you are important, celebrate everyday things in your life. Celebrate when you do something you have been putting off for a while.

She passed out a star to each member and told them to find something to celebrate about YOU. You can’t be good for anyone else if you don’t take care of yourself.

She closed with this quote she found. “Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play and you will finally be able to move forward with the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage and confidence.

Potato Bake: the date set for the Potato Bake is Sept. 21. Linda H made a motion we hold this potato bake and the funds go towards State Recognition Day fund. Motion passed. Susan will take care of renting the community center for that date.

Leader Robbie Chase opened the meeting and Kay S. led us in singing “O Give Me A Loss”

We welcomed Judy K back.

Robbie led us in Roll Call. Angie and Steve shared the best loser award for the week, each lost 2.2 lbs. Twenty-nine weighed in today.
