The Union Hall 4-H Meeting was held on Wednesday, March 13, at the Land O-Lakes fair grounds. The meeting was called to order by President Avery Schiereck. T-shirts were distributed to 4-H members to represent Union Hall 4-H.

4-H Members will prepare for the Cedar County Fair (June 19-22, 2019) and the Land O-Lakes Youth Fair (July 9-13, 2019). The Show Me Quality Assurance (SMQA) Training will be held at the Land O-Lakes fairground on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. SMQA training is required for 4-H members wanting to show livestock at the fairs. During SMQA training, 4-H members must learn proper management and handling of livestock.

Achievement Day will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 30, in the First Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs. At Achievement Day, you can learn more about different 4-H projects, and give speeches or demonstrations about your projects. Reese Schiereck gave an example demonstration to the club on how to pin bugs in a box and how to safely catch bugs.

The next Union Hall 4-H meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. April 10.
