Superintendents from the Mid-Lakes Conference and the newly formed Ozarks Highlands Conference met on Dec. 6, to consider a proposal for merging the two conferences into one conference beginning with the 2020-21 School Year.  The merger was approved by unanimous vote of the superintendents.

A proposal to rename the conference was considered and it was agreed that the new conference will be called the Ozark Mountain Conference.  This new conference will include 11 schools and will be divided into a north and south division.

The south division will include: Buffalo, Clever, Fair Grove, Forsyth and Strafford. The north division will include Butler, El Dorado Springs, Sherwood, Skyline, Stockton and Warsaw and Cole Camp for football only.

District Athletic directors are working on rules and bylaws for the new conference.
