A walker resident is in custody after attempting to run from Vernon County Sheriff’s Deputies Tuesday evening.

According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, Tyler Miller-Biggs, 25,of Walker, fled from deputies after they attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Ash and Douglas Streets in Nevada.

The vehicle continued to flee west of Nevada as other units responded to assist. Sheriff Mosher said items were being thrown out the window of the vehicle during the pursuit. The pursuit came to an end when the driver went down a dead-end road in the area of Panama and 2200 Roads in Vernon County.

“This is the second time a driver has fled from a deputy at shift change so it helps us out having extra deputies on at the same time” said Mosher. The Sheriff said Miller-Biggs attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by a deputy a short time later.

Miller-Biggs had an outstanding municipal warrant for his arrest and is now facing felony charges for the pursuit. Sheriff Mosher said drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle.
