Charles A. Winfiel, 83, El Dorado Springs, was transported to Cedar County Memorial Hospital by private vehicle with injuries reported as minor after he was turning westbound into a private driveway on Hwy, 54 twelve miles east of Nevada in a 1999 Ford F-150 and turned into the path of an eastbound 2012 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Ruth L. Baczkowski, 65, Valley Center, KS.
The driver and her male passenger, Jean E. Baczkowski, 65, were transported by EMS to Freeman West Hospital Joplin with injuries listed as moderate by Trooper J. W. Krehbiel who investigated. His report said that everyone was wearing a seatbelt except the husband.
