Rockville United Methodist Church and River of Life Church Easter service was by Pastor Nick Van Dam titled “Easter People.” Pastor James Damon led the music; all those attending enjoyed a delicious brunch prepared by the River of Life ladies.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. to study the Bible with eight in attendance.

Mt. Zion Club will meet April 18, for an afternoon meeting in the home of Marge Zink with our annual auction.

Howard and Dixie Peterson celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on March 31. Dixie Peterson kept her doctor’s appointment the past week.

Easter weather was different; the rain did hold off until after dinner; coats were needed; hope the rain and cold doesn’t hurt the flowers. Easter dinner guests in the Marge Zink, Stacy and Mike Griffith home were Betty and Larry Teel, Kelly Teel and Wanda Speaks of Springfield, Kasey Teel of Kansas City, Brenda Peterson of Richmond and Howard and Dixie Peterson of Osceola.

Greg and Micha Pelkey, from Springfield, joined Tom and Beverly Pelkey at the Cook Shack Easter at noon.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm, Belle is out of a job, all the goats went home. I’m sure Belle will find something to do, spring will return.

John Snethen had surgery on his left hand last Friday and they found a cyst on his left wrist which they removed before continuing with his surgery, he has had a rough week trying to get back his left hand. John and Julia made a trip to Knob Noster where John and David Vandivier made a trip to Lee’s Summit for tux fitting for Shella and David’s wedding in May. On Sunday, they hosted the Ron Thompson family, Kim and Rick Jones and family and Carol and Ron Jones for Easter dinner.
