Mt. Zion Home Bible study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. to study the Bible with 10 in attendance; all are welcome to join us.

Mt. Zion Club met in the Marge Zink Wednesday. Ten members enjoyed making blackberry jelly, tacking lap robes and playing bingo. Business was conducted by President Marge Zink, treasurer’s report by Beverly Pelkey and Devotion given by Wilma Williams. During the August meeting, the club will celebrate her 95th birthday, meeting in the Marge Zink home for the birthday party Aug. 15, all are invited.

Congratulations to Julie and Kurt Davis who celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

Recent visitor in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home was Brenda Peterson. Brenda enjoyed going to Bunco with Dixie. Sunday Dixie was able to go to church.

Helen Wyrich and Tyson were recent visitors in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home. The wood fairy brings wood to Tom’s wood pile; wonder if they think we will have a cold winter? Beverly is busy feeding the humming birds; there sure are a lot that feeders; the kittens are sure cute.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm things are quite just trying to keep cool.

The Mt. Zion area enjoyed some much needed rain Tuesday.

Marge Zink and Beverly Pelkey enjoyed Bunco at the St. Clair County, Lowry City Branch the third Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. Lots of fun so plan to join us.

Some member from VFW Post 11242 and Ladies Auxiliary will attend the VFW national Convention in Kansas City.

Julia Snethen had another overnight stay in the hospital but is back home and doing fine and keeping John busy running his route and doing honey do’s.
