Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was presented by Team Challenge. Join us each Sunday at 9 a.m. for morning worship and Sunday School at 10 am.

Mt. Zion Bible study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home each Tuesday at 7 p.m. had 10 in attendance.

The Mt. Zion area received two inches of much needed rain this past week.

Mark your calendar for the Rockville United Methodist Church Quilt Show Oct. 21, at the church. Time will be10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. There is a quilt raffle, country store, demonstrations that include needle tacking, applique’ piecing technique, bed turning and lunch. The rainy weather has slowed Tom Pelkey from mowing grass and cutting wood, he did get the wood box moved inside; the kittens are growing.

The Jayson Davis boys were out making their Halloween hay bale creation on B Hwy. Sunday; don’t know what it is yet.

The leaves are starting to change color; but the sumac leaves are gorgeous, such a brilliant red.

Visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home have been Marge Zink and Stacy Griffith.

Happy Birthday to Aaron Siegismund who will celebrate his first birthday.

Marge Zink, Howard and Dixie Peterson were sorry to learn of their sister-in-law, Josephine Peterson, of Richmond, died Sunday; she was Brother Clyde’s wife. Interment will be in Kidd’s Chapel Lowry City.

Julia and John Snethen attended Clinton Chapter #73 meeting Monday night. John ran his bus route the rest of the week and Julia spent a quite week at home except for Friday afternoon when she ran a few errands in Clinton before stopping to visit Maureen Wallace before heading home.
