Mt. Zion Home Bible study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. to study the Bible everyone is welcome to join us to study the Bible.

Wish Sheri Suster a speedy recovery; she is a patient in St Luke’s Hospital.

The Mt. Zion area could use a good rain; the wind Saturday really dried plants up, but the surprise lilies or naked lady are blooming and so pretty.

Sympathy to the Sylvia Greathouse family funeral services was held Saturday.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson have been Stacy Griffith. Dixie receives word her brother Gordon wasn’t doing well.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm Belle is out of the dog house so to speak; she waits for Robin to open the gate and tells her it is ok to go into the calf pen. Belle enjoyed dog setting with Petie while Daniel did errands in town.

Several from the area attended the VFW  11242 and Auxiliary meeting Aug. 2, at the Christian Church Fellowship hall in Appleton City. We are in need of members call Marge 660-598-4240 or Bob 660-598-4044 for information.

Rockville Hand Quilters enjoyed visitors Thursday several ladies picking up quilts and our favorite visitors, Jimmie and Peggy Sue, came to visit before school starts, was a pleasure watching three generations quilting on the same quilt; great-grandmother, grandmother, and Peggy Sue at the same time.

John and Julia Snethen did the same as last week visited with doctors and John kept his bus route.
