News from Harwood and area

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will have a corned beef dinner on March 17. It will be her daily special. She will be closed on March 28 at 2 p.m. as it is her birthday.

Jewell Ellerman had the flu pretty bad. She started getting it early Sunday morning, March 5, and was not able to keep anything down until Wednesday, March 8. Her neighbor, Rosie Taylor, and daughter, Helen, took her to the ER Sunday night, March 5. She is doing a lot better now.

The Harwood/Schell City area had a very bad thunderstorm with hail, rain and wind Monday evening, March 6. The Harwood area had rain, wind and hail on Thursday, March 9. They say the ground was white with hail. The Schell City area did not have hail like the Harwood area had.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, March 21. Brother Jon Caudle Sr’s. sermon, “Begin Faithful to Jesus for Jesus’ Joy” was taken from John 16:20-24.
