Madalyn’s Kitchen will close a 2 p.m. on March 28, as that is her birthday.

Grace (Reedy) Smith, of Butler, passed away March 13, at the Butler Hospital. She and her late husband, Tommy Smith, lived in the Harwood area before moving to Butler. Services were held Saturday, March 18, at the Schowengerd Funeral Chapel at Butler with burial at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery at El Dorado Springs.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, March 19. Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon was taken from John 9.

Jewell (Reedy) Ellerman and Helen Ellerman and their pastor, Kevin McNeely, and his wife, Resita, from the Grace United Methodist Church took Jewell and Helen to Butler for Jewell’s sister, Grace Smith’s, funeral. They attended the family dinner at the Assembly of God Church at Butler. It was put on by the Happy Hill Outreach Center where Grace attended church. Jewell is the only one still living from the 18 children in the Reedy family.
