Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed on Sunday, April 23, because someone is having a fundraising dinner for Nathan Haddix and Mike Bailey, who were really hurt a few weeks ago on an ATV. It will be held at the Schell City Community Building.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Rosie Taylor, had Easter day dinner at Cedar House Grill at El Dorado Springs. Madalyn Crocker had a dinner for her family Easter day at her restaurant Sunday, April 16.

Lena Fay (Davis) England, who grew up in the Harwood/Schell area, passed away Tuesday, April 4, at her home in Rich Hill. Funeral service was held for her Saturday, April 8, at Ferry Funeral Home at Nevada with burial at Green Lawn Cemetery at Schell City.

Chruch service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, April 16. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon “Christ Arose Victorious,” was taken from Matthew 28:8-10.

The Harwood/Schell area received a much needed rain different days this past week.

Joe Bell, who was in Moore-Few Care Center, passed away Tuesday, April 11. He lived in the Schell City area before going in the home. Funeral service was held Saturday, April 15, at the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home at El Dorado Springs with burial at Green Lawn Cemetery at Harwood.
