Ruth Ijams’ children and grandchildren held a dinner for her 85th birthday on Sunday, April 16, at the Schell City Community building. They had cake and punch in the afternoon for relatives and friends. All five of her children were there which were: Joe O’Brien – Dallas TX, David O’Brien – Montytomey, TX, Mary Henderson – Arizona, Jeanie O’Brien and Peggy O’Brien – Schell City. She said she had a good 85th birthday with all of her children, grandchildren and friends.

The Morerod family held their family reunion at the Harwood Town Hall Sunday, Apirl 23. There were several there.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Rosie Taylor, attended the community dinner at the First Baptist Church at El Dorado Springs Sunday evening, April 23.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday morning, April 23. Boyd Morerod was the guest pastor. He was here to attend the Morerod family reunion.

The Harwood and Schell City area got several inches of rain the past several days. Some say there was some flooding in some parts of Vernon County from all of the rain.
