Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed on Mother’s Day Sunday, May 14. She will be closed on Memorial Day weekend Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29. She will reopen at her regular time Tuesday, May 30.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the Fried Chicken dinner at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center on Friday, May 5. It is held the first Friday of every month.

The rain has finally quit for a while in the Harwood and Schell City areas. It needs to dry up some so the farmers can get their crops in.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, May 7. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon “Trust and Obey” was taken from the book of Mark.

The Harwood Post Office is still open two hours a day Monday through Saturday 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. Phyllis Clark is the clerk in charge of the Post Office.
