Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, spent Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman. They all went to church at the Grace United Methodist Church at El Dorado Springs Sunday, June 4. After church they all had dinner at Cedar House Grill. A friend, Rosie Taylor, went with them.

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed on Saturday, June 10. She will be open her regular time on Sunday, June 11. She will close on Saturday, June 17, at 10 a.m. She will serve breakfast only that morning and then will be closed on Father’s Day, June 18. She says she will not have a steak dinner in June because a lot of people will be on vacation in June.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, June 4. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon, “Growth in the Kingdom of God” was taken from Mark 4:26-32.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman had dinner at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center for fried chicken Friday, June 3. They have fried chicken Friday the first Friday of every month.

The Community Betterment at Schell City will hold a Forth of July celebration at the Schell City Park Tuesday, July 4. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be furnished. Everyone attending is to bring a side dish and their lawn chairs. Fireworks will start after dark. Everyone in the area is invited.

The Harwood and Schell City area had a storm Tuesday evening, May 30. They had large hail, rain and wind.

The CMA will have the worship service at the Grace United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 11.

There will be an evening service on June 11 at 6 p.m. There will b a meal following the service. The church will furnish the meat. Everyone is to bring a side dish.
