Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended funeral services for Raymond Mundy at the First Christian Church at El Dorado Springs. Madalyn Crocker attended the service for him as well. Raymond’s daughter, Renae Daniel, taught for several years at the Northeast Vernon County Elementary School at Schell City.

The Harwood area got two inches of rain early Friday morning, along with hard wind and bad lighting and thunder.

Carl Hicks, who was born in the Schell City area and Harwood area, passed away June 25, at his home in Kansas City. Memorial services were held Wednesday, July 5, at Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home at Schell City.

Jim Wilson of Nevada, was the guest speaker at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, July 2. Their pastor, Jon Caudle Sr., was ill. Jim’s sermon was taken from Galatians 5:19-26.
