News from Harwood and area

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will close at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, and will be closed all day Saturday, Sept. 9, for the Schell City Fall Festival. The Fall Festival will be held Friday, Sept. 8 and Saturday, Sept. 9. She will reopen Sunday, Sept. 10, at her regular time.

Ruth Ijams, Peggy O’Brien and Jeanie O’Brien attended the Greshman family reunion at the El Dorado Springs VFW building Sunday, Sept. 3.

The Harwood-Schell City area received a much needed rain this past week. Some areas had more rain than other areas.

Several from the Harwood and Schell City areas had a yard sale or they went to the 100 mile yard sale over the Labor Day weekend.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 3. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon “Light for Life” was taken from Mathew 4:13-17 and John 8.
