News from Harwood and area

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will not be closed for the first part of November as far as she knows now. She says she will probably have her Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 16. I will put it in my news when she is for sure.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the Halloween dinner and program at the Grace United Methodist Church at El Dorado Springs Sunday evening, Oct. 29. Joey and Amie Gray and Hunter of Calhound spent the weekend in the home of his parents, Jerry and Karen Coy.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 29. Bother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon, “Truth, Love and Joy” was taken from 2 John 4-12.

The Harwood and Schell City areas have had quite a bit of rain this past week and Saturday night, Oct. 28, they had a killing frost.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the birthday dinner at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Thursday, Oct. 26. They had a time driving for two free dinners. Jewell’s birthday was Oct. 2. She was the only one there with a birthday in October so she won the free dinners.
