News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will hold her steak dinner on Sunday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. She will be closed on Tuesday, April 24, so she can attend her grandchildren’s spring concert at the Northeast Vernon County Elementary School at Schell City.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, April 8. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Our Word to God” was taken from Ephesians 2:11-18.

Rosie Taylor was a dinner guest in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman Sunday, Aril 8.

The Schell City and Harwood areas had some much needed rain this past week. The farmers got a pretty good snow on the wheat Sunday, April 8, but it did not last very long.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman ate at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Friday, April 6. It was Fried Chicken Friday. They have it the first Friday of every month.
