Madalyn Crocker says that they had a packed park at the Schell City Park Saturday evening, June 30, for the Forth of July celebration. They had a meal and then they had fireworks at dark. She says they had a really pretty fireworks display and everyone seemed to enjoyed everything.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, July 1. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Romans 6:4-7. There were four baptisms. They held it outdoors in a stock tank. He says there was around 30 present for it. They has a cookout afterward.

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, came Tuesday, July 26, and took his mother, Jewell Ellerman, to Joplin to the doctor to get her appointment for hip surgery. Helen Ellerman went with them.

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, said she does not know yet if she will be closed anytime in July yet. She will have me put it in my news later if she is closed sometime.

The Harwood and Schell City areas got some rain this past week but still need more rain for the corn and beans.

Rosie Taylor, a friend of Jewell and Helen Ellerman, was a dinner guest in their home Sunday, July 1.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman went to Stockton with some friends to the fireworks Saturday evening, June 30.
