News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, said that as far as she knows she will not be closed anymore in August. She will be closed Saturday, Sept. 1 thru Monday, Sept. 3.

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, visited in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman Monday, Aug.13.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Aug. 19. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Galatians 6:9-10.

Jerry and Karen, of Harwood, visited Jewell Ellerman Saturday evening, Aug. 18. Jewell had to have hip surgery on July 16 at Freeman in Joplin and then on July 19, Jewell came back to the Swing Bed at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs. She returned home on Aug. 7. She is doing real good for her age at 91.

Rosie Taylor was a dinner guest in the home of Jewell and Helen Sunday, Aug. 19.

The Harwood and Schell City areas received some much needed rain on Thursday, Aug. 16, and Sunday, Aug. 19.
