Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, came Tuesday, Oct. 9, and took her mother, Jewell Ellerman, to the doctor for a check up for her hip surgery that she had on July 16th. The doctor said that she was really doing well and she does not have to see him any more. Helen went with them and they all had dinner at Sirloin Stockade at Carthage.

The Schell City Community will hold their Halloween Senior Citizen dinner Oct. 21, at noon at the Schell City community Building. The meal is furnished so no one has to bring anything unless they are asked to. The kids form the grade school at Northeast Vernon County School after dinner will come with their costumes on.

Dinner guest of Helen and Jewell Ellerman on Sunday, Oct. 14 was a friend, Rosie Taylor.
