Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will hold a fundraiser for Grant Davis family. Grant had stage 4 cancer of the lungs. Madalyn will have a breakfast from 5-10 a.m. for $8. She is having to help for medical expenses for the family. Grant is 24 years old. He is the son of Grady and Kelly (Vantellman) Davis. It will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3.

There will be a fall dinner at the Schell City Community building for Senior Citizens on Oct. 31 at noon. They will be no charge for the dinner.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Rosie Taylor, attended the Grace United Methodist Church family and friends picnic Sunday, Oct. 21, held at the home of Mike Williams and family, south of El Dorado Springs. They had a dinner of pulled pork sandwiches or roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. They held a hayride for both kids and adults. Jewell, who is 92, went on the hay ride. They held music and a worship service. They were celebrating the reopening of the church, which was three years ago, the last part of October.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 21. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “The Hope of Surrendering” taken form 2 Corinthians 1:8-11.
