News from Harwood and Schell City

Madlyn’s Kitchen, sought of Schell City, will hold a fundraiser breakfast for $8 from 5-8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, for the family of Grant Davis, who had stage four lunch ancer. He is the son of Grandy and Kelly (Vantellman) Davis. Madalyn says any donations would be appreciated to help with medical expenses.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 28. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Mission Impossible” was taken from Matthew 5:43-48.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the women’s retreat at the Grace United Methodist Church at El Dorado Springs Saturday, Oct. 27. Teresa McNight, of Liberal, was the guest speaker. The men of the church fixed the meal.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the birthday dinner a the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Thursday, Oct. 25. The dinner honors those who have birthdays for the month. The dinner is held the fourth Thursday of every month.

The area got much needed rain this past week. It will help to keep from having fires when it is dry and it will help the farmers.
