Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will close on Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. after breakfast. She is catering a meal to serve that day. She will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. And Dec. 14, she will close at 10 a.m. She will serve the meal for the Duke Mason Band. It will be held at Camp Galilee in El Dorado Springs.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Nov. 25. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “God Answers to Our Excuses” was taken from Exodus 3. The Harwood Baptist Church will hold a free community breakfast from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Dec. 2, with everyone invited to attend.

The area received a mixture of rain, sleet and snow on Sunday, Nov. 25. It did not freeze on the roads and sidewalks so they did not have to cancel school.

We did not get any mail Monday, Nov. 26. They had not picked my mail up to be mailed. I called the Post office about 2:30 and they said that the mail truck had not been able to get out of Kansas City. They said that the storm was really bad in Kansas City on Sunday, Nov. 25.
