Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will have her Christmas buffet on Thursday, Dec. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is just like the Sunday buffet but she has different kinds of meat. She will close at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 24, and she will be closed all day Christmas Day, the 25th. She will close at 11 a.m. on New Years’ Eve, De. 31, and be closed all day New year’s Day, Jan. 1,

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, and Mike, Kelly, Hannah and Josh Ellerman, of Carl Junction, spent Saturday, De. 15, in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman for a early Christmas.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 16. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Why Bethlehem?” was taken from Micah 5:1-4.

The Harwood Post Office is still open from 1:15-3:15 p.m. Monday thru Saturday. I think the clerk in charge is from Jerico Springs.

The Harwood and Schell City areas received a pretty good rain Thursday, Dec. 13. It was lucky that it was not cold enough to freeze.

A friend of mine and my mom’s, Mary Tomblinson, took us around El Dorado Springs to see the Christmas lights. There is one on South Grand that you turn to a certain radio station and the lights and things turn different colors and different figures. It is really worth going to see. It lasted about 45 minutes.

Madalyn Crocker, who owns Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, served the dinner for the Duke Mason Show held at Camp Galilee in El Dorado Springs. She said there were around 110 there. She said it was a really great show.
