News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will hold her Valentine’s Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 14, from 5-8 p.m. The price will depend on what meat you take. Madalyn says she will be open the rest of the month at her regular time unless the weather is bad. She is closed every Wednesday.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Jan. 20. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Matthew 5:27-30. The Church will hold a free community breakfast from 8:30 – 9:45 a.m. Anyone in the community is invited to attend.

The Harwood Post Office is still open. They are open from 1;15-3:15 p.m. the stamps are going up on Jan. 27, from 50¢ to 55¢. You can get the former stamps and they are good for however long you have them.

The weather over the weekend was not very good. It was cold. It rained Friday evening, Jan. 18, then early Saturday morning, Jan. 19, it started snowing. The area did not get very much. The area lucked out again.
