News from Harwood and Schell City

I called Madalyn Kitchen, south of Schell City, and she said as far as she knows she will be open every day in January except for Wednesday, when she is closed on those days.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended Fried Chicken Friday at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Friday, Jan. 5.

There had been quite a bit of flu going around in the area. Several different ones say it has been hard to get rid of.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Jan. 7. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon “A Living Example” was taken from Titus 2:7-15. The Harwood Baptist Church was going to hold the Fifth Sunday Service Sunday evening, Jan. 7. It was for the Baptist Churches Association in the area. It was to be held Sunday evening, Dec. 31, but since it was New Year’s Eve, they had it a week late.

The Harwood and Schell City area received a much needed rain. It rained about all day Sunday, Jan. 7.
