News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, says that as far as she knows she will be open the rest of April except for Wednesdays because she is closed every Wednesday. She says she knows she will be closed at least Monday in May. She says she will know by next week.

Jewel and Helen Ellerman ate at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Thursday, April 18. It was the birthday day dinner for those that had birthdays in April.

Ruth Ijams celebrated her 88th birthday on Tuesday, April 16. Her daughters, Jeanie O’Brien and Peggy O’Brien, took her to Buzz’s BBQ in Nevada for her birthday.

The weather had been a lot better this week in the area. The farmers had been able to get in the fields and several had been getting their gardens out.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday thru Saturday from 1:15-3:15 p.m. for people to get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day for people to get their mail out of their box.
